Hi, we're Shana and Jared Burns, the husband-and-wife team behind  The Casual Conservationists. Our adventure began with the renovation of our century-old homes in Philadelphia and has blossomed into the purchase of this beautiful farm. Nestled in Bucks County, our 200-year-old farmhouse and its 4.8 acres are being transformed into a haven of permaculture and agroforestry.

By day, I work for a software engineering company, while Jared is a commercial real estate attorney. Together, we're raising our two daughters and embracing the joys and challenges of turning our visions into reality.

We've been married since 2011 and both hail from century farm families—a proud legacy that inspires our commitment to land stewardship and conservation. This deep-rooted connection to farming traditions, paired with permaculture philosophy, forms the bedrock of Ever Ready Farm.
